Vision and Reading
Reading is a complex visual and cognitive task. This talk will describe recent work that points to an important role of early visual procession in reading: after optics but before signals leave V1. Of significance for education is the finding that reading fluency correlates with visual skills such as accommodation, tracking, and binocular coordination.
